Jaakko is the lead game designer at Helsinki based Mindfield Games. He has been working in various roles in games industry since 2002. His latest job as a game and narrative designer of a first-person exploration game P.O.L.L.E.N has given him a deep understanding of the first wave of consumer level virtual reality games and devices. Prior to this he got another master's degree on game design from Aalto University, while working as a freelance designer in various companies and projects. He has worked on various different platforms and game genres, from board games to casual TV-mobile games, a location aware augmented reality game and a massively multiplayer browser-based hardcore strategy game. He has also given lectures and courses in various game development schools and events.
